NS Wildfire Collection & Donation Drop-In Centre

On the weekend of May 28th, 2023, wildfires broke out in local areas of Nova Scotia, leaving many displaced from their homes, some suffering damage and complete destruction. A confirmed total of 151 houses have been destroyed in the Tantallon fires, and a confirmed 50 homes/cottages in the Shelburne area which continues to be ablaze.

To help help those affected during this difficult time, Dartmouth Crossing has collaborated with RE_HRM to provide a Collection & Donation Drop-In Centre, located at 93 Hector Gate in The Village Shops at Dartmouth Crossing.

Donations are accepted starting June 3, 2023 at 12noon and will continue until further notice during posted hours. Collections for items will begin on June 6, 2023 during posted hours.Requested items for donation, but not limited to:

Women’s Clothing

Men’s Clothing

Children / Infants Clothing

Footwear

New Hygiene Products

Backpacks / Purses / Wallets

School Supplies

Baby Items

Toiletries

Household Products

Bedding / Linens

Refillable Water Bottles

*Any donations that remain following this initiative will be re-donated to other non-profit organizations for those in need.
